Full information
Acute Closed Angle Glaucoma
Acute closed angle glaucoma results from fast or sharp increase in intraocular pressure (pressure in the eye). The iris is pushed or pulled up against the trabecular meshwork, so fluid in the eye (the aqueous humor) can not be drained out and the pressure in the eye increases. The results include severe eye pain, blurred vision and prolific tearing.
