Fluid Collection in Ankles at Daytime
Fluid collection, presenting as swelling, in the ankles. Fluid accumulation in the daytime may be due to inactivity, as the effects of gravity pool fluid in the lower extremities. Painless swelling of the feet and ankles is common, especially among older people. The abnormal buildup of fluid in the ankles, feet, and legs is called edema.
