Pain Tailbone (Coccyx)
An injury to the coccyx (the bony structure at the bottom of the spine) results in pain and discomfort in the tailbone area. Tailbone pain can feel dull and achy and typically becomes sharp during certain activities. Tailbone pain is also called coccydynia or coccygodynia.
