Fanconi Syndrome

This is a condition of the kidney in which certain nutrients like amino acids, glucose, phosphate, and sodium among others, are not reabsorbed properly back into the bloodstream. Taking a Vitamin D2 supplement called Ergocalciferol can help reduce the effect of Fanconi Syndrome. Symptoms of Fanconi Syndrome include urinating beyond the usual amount, which may cause dehydration. Bone pain and physical weakness are also symptoms of Fanconi Syndrome. When left untreated, Fanconi Syndrome can cause dehydration, growth failure, and/or Osteomalacia, which is a condition where the bones soften due to Vitamin D deficiency.
